Terms of Service
Last updated: June 10, 2026
These are the rules for using IEP Path, written in plain language on purpose. By using the app, you agree to them.
Plain terms for a self-help tool: your content stays yours, we promise honest effort rather than outcomes, and you can leave — with all your data — at any time.
What you're agreeing to
By creating an account or using IEP Path, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.
What the service is
IEP Path is a self-help and document-preparation tool. It explains plans in plain language, flags possible problems, tracks dates, and drafts letters for your review.
It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or representation. The disclaimer page explains this fully, and it is part of these terms.
Your account
You must be an adult to use IEP Path — the app is for parents, guardians, and the advocates they invite. Children never have accounts.
Keep access to your sign-in email secure; it is how your account is protected. You are responsible for what is done under your account.
Acceptable use
Use the service for your own family, or — as an invited advocate — for the family who invited you.
Don't try to access other people's data, probe or break security, upload malicious files, abuse the AI features, or use the service to harass anyone. We can suspend accounts that do.
Your content stays yours
The documents, plan details, letters, and records you create belong to you.
You give us only the limited permission needed to operate the features you use — for example, processing plan text you submit so we can decode it. We claim no ownership, and we never use your content for advertising or to train AI models.
AI output and no warranty of outcomes
Analyses, decodes, and letter drafts are starting points that you must review before relying on them. AI output can be wrong.
We make no warranty that any letter, analysis, or reminder will achieve a particular result with your school or anyone else. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind beyond those the law requires.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights that consumer-protection law gives you and that cannot be waived.
Ending things — by you or by us
You can stop using IEP Path at any time: export your data from Settings, then delete your account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes, and material changes are announced in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
